We can all agree that Resurrection Week is sacred ground. This is where love was demonstrated, sacrifice was fulfilled, and victory was secured.
But let's be honest, in the busy-ness of life we sometimes miss the meaning of this sacred week.
Here are 8 meaningful ways to walk through this week with intention and reflection-- and of course in MyPrayerHUB style , these reflections are rooted in scripture.
REFLECTION 1
Walk With Jesus Daily (Slow Down the Story)
Instead of rushing to the resurrection, journey with Jesus day by day and make it a lifestyle.
Reflect on the Word of God with me:
“It is finished.” – John 19:30
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, give me the grace to slow down and truly understand the weight of what You did for me. Let this week not be rushed, but revealed.
REFLECTION 2
Create Sacred Space for God
Make room for stillness—this is where God speaks clearly.
Reflect on the Word of God with me: “Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
Prayer Prompt:
Father, quiet every distraction around me and within me. Help me hear You clearly this week.
REFLECTION 3
Invite God to Search Your Heart
This is a week for honest reflection, not surface-level faith.
Reflect on the Word of God with me: “Search me, O God, and know my heart…” – Psalm 139:23
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, reveal anything in me that is not like You. Cleanse me, renew me, and make me whole.
REFLECTION 4
Reflect on the Cross Personally
The cross is not just history—it’s personal.
Reflect on the Word of God with me: “He himself bore our sins…” – 1 Peter 2:24
Prayer Prompt:
Jesus, thank You for taking my place. Help me live in the freedom You paid for.
REFLECTION 5
Fast with Intention
Let your fast draw you closer—not just make you disciplined.
Reflect on the Word of God with me: “Return to me with all your heart, with fasting…” – Joel 2:12
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, let this fast produce spiritual fruit in me. Remove distractions and increase my hunger for You.
REFLECTION 6
Release and Forgive Fully
You cannot hold onto what Jesus died to free you from.
Reflect on the Word of God with me: “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” – Colossians 3:13
Prayer Prompt:
Father, I release every offense. Heal my heart and help me forgive the way You forgave me.
REFLECTION 7
Embrace the Power of the Resurrection
This is where everything change and new life begins here.
Reflect on the Word of God with me: “...we too may live a new life.” – Romans 6:4
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, breathe new life into every area of me. Strengthen my faith, renew my mind, and help me walk in resurrection power daily.
REFLECTION 8
Respond with Surrender
Choose to not leave this week the same. This is where reflection becomes transformation.
Reflect on the Word of God with me: “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice…” – Romans 12:1
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, I surrender every part of my life to You; my plans, my desires, my will. Have Your way in me. Let my life be a response to Your love.
Here's the take away,
Resurrection Week isn’t about doing more or attending the most festive gatherings—it’s about drawing closer.
I created an Audio Prayer Journey and posted on the FHBG_Official My Prayer HUB YouTube page as a resource for those who desire to know more about what Holy Week is all really about.
If you desire to draw deeper in knowing God through Jesus Christ, I encourage you to take this week one prayer at a time… one moment at a time.
God is not distant in this season. Trust me, He is near, present, and ready to meet with you personally.
Let this be the week that deepens your prayer life and transforms your walk with Him.
